Some stuff came up and I was unable to post on the 16th but "New York,I Love You" is playing in select theaters now! If any one has seen it let us know^^ and... Thanks for the heads up on NYILY being in theatres, Veronica! I dare say I would’ve missed Orlando’s latest foray onto the big screen without your tip!
I went the other night and, honestly, it’s a pretty disjointed mess of a film (I can see why they’re sneaking the flick in and out of the theatres). Tons of talent both in front of and behind the camera, but it really never all clicked for me.
Orlando was adorable, of course, but his segment is all of five minutes (if that) and, honestly, I would’ve enjoyed seeing him in one of the other more challenging roles in the film (such as Shia LaBeouf’s crippled bellhop, or Ethan Hawke’s lothario writer). Loveable Orlando playing a loveable Orlando-like character is fine, but again, I’m itching to see him do more “character” roles.
