Orlando Attends 10th Annual White Tie and Tiara Ball

Orlando attended Sir Elton John's 10th Annual White Tie and Tiara Ball to Benefit the 'Elton John Aids Foundation' on 26th June in Old Windsor, England.
630 party goers at £3,000 a head enjoyed a dinner of Oscietra caviar, stone black bass and a tranche of chocolates wrapped in gold leaf, music of the Beach Boys and an auction, including among the lots a field trip to Africa with Sir Elton and David Furnish which went for £1 million . An oil painting by Mark Quinn went for £900,000. A private photographic portrait sitting with Mario Testino raised £800,000, £200,000 ahead of a private dinner for six in New York with ex-President Bill Clinton.
In all, the auction raised £10 million for the Elton John Aids Foundation, bringing the total sum raised since the singer started his charity in 1992 to over £60 million.

Orlando Named Honorary Patron Of The New Marlowe Theatre Campaign

Actor Orlando Bloom has been named as an honorary Patron of the New Marlowe Theatre campaign, a development project to build a new theatre and centre for the performing arts in the heart of historic Canterbury, a birthplace Bloom shares with dramatist Christopher Marlowe.

The Canterbury-born actor has joined nine other influential founding Patrons – including Joanna Lumley – who are backing the New Marlowe fundraising campaign, which aims to raise £6m of private donations towards the overall project cost of around £24m.

Orlando And Miranda Attend Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Gala

On Saturday 7th June Orlando and Miranda attended the 3rd Annual Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Party, held at the Stud House, Hampton Court Palace in Richmond upon Thames, London. The night raised funds for the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation - an international fund fighting child cancer in Russia and to fund research to help eradicate this life-threatening disease. Also in attendance were: Kevin Spacey, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Kate Beckinsale and Joan Collins.
